Public Transport Travel Assistant

This is a BSc final year project Android application. This application was developed for the purpose of providing Mauritian travelers assistance while navigating the complex infrastructure of the Mauritius Public Transport System. It includes:

- Multimodal Route Planning: This feature allows users to plan trips anywhere around the island, and the systems returns a journey comprised of both a single transport mode and a mixture of different modes.

- Live Vehicle Tracking: This features allows users to pin point the location of a mode of transport.

- Journey Following: This features enables users to receive updates (Station user just entered, Journey Length, etc.) when following a journey alleviating the worries a user faces when navigating unfamiliar territory.

- In-depth Station Information: This features allows users to browse any public transport station and gain insight into the current occupancy of the station (by other users of the app), the facilities available at the station (wheelchair access, parking, etc.) and the vehicles that pass through that particular station.
